Counseling Procedure
The entire Counseling procedure consists of following steps as listed below:
1. Filling of application can be done through the Admission Facilitation Center (AFC)-2024 at all Government Arts and Science Colleges near you or through computers and smartphones from home.
2. Registration of Courses and Colleges.
3. Rank list will be published in respective college website. There are three Rank Lists,
Tamil Rank List: This will be prepared only on the basis of Tamil Marks (out of 100 Marks) scored in +2. This list is used for admission into B.A. Tamil Literature / B.Lit. courses.
English Rank List: This will be prepared only on the basis of English Marks (out of 100 Marks) scored in +2. This list is used for admission into B.A. English Literature.
General Rank List: This will be prepared based on remaining 4 subjects (out of 400 Marks). This will be used for admission into all other B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. / B.B.A. / B.C.A. / B.S.W.
4. Publication of Tentative Allotment on a notified date by the respective colleges based on the rank list.
5. Applicants should report to the respective colleges specified in the allotment letter.
Required Documents/Information
Before starting the TNGASA 2024 registrations candidates have to keep the following documents/information ready:
- Mobile phone number.
- E-mail ID.
- Class 10 mark sheet.
- Class 12 mark sheet.
- School details where he/she has studied VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII standards.
- Details of school studied from Sixth to Twelfth standard for 7.5% Government Quota.
- Community/ Caste details.
- Aadhar card [Aadhar number details] (Optional).
- Parent annual income details.
- First graduate certificate (if applicable).
- Nativity certificate(if applicable)

Important Instructions
- The name should be entered in the class 10th /12th mark sheet.
- Candidates have to enter his/her e-mail address for ‘User ID’. If the candidate does not have an e-mail address, use the parent’s email or create a new one. This e-mail address shall be treated as the candidate’s login user and registered e-mail address to which all communications are sent.
- The mobile number entered here will be treated as your registered mobile number.
- The password should contain a minimum of 8 characters with at least one capital, one numerical, and one special character.
- Details entered here cannot be modified later, hence the students must confirm their details before submitting.
- Candidates have to remember their User ID (e-mail address) and password because this will be used during the process of application, payment, choice entry, and allotment.
- Registeration fee will be refunded, once done.

- Go to the official website for applying to TNGASA(https://www.tngasa.in/).
- Click on the new UG registration button. Now, you will see the webpage for Registration.
- Please fill in all details correctly. Details entered cannot be modified later. Include name, email id, and mobile number.
- Enter the password and press submit.
- At that time, you will receive a one-time password (OTP) on your smartphone, which you can use only once.
- Enter your e-mail ID and password once again to log in.
- Click on the application section. The application form appears on the screen.
- Enter all the required details, including personal information, special reservation information, scholarship information, school of study information, academic information, choice filling, etc…
- After filling in all the details press preview and submit. Check the entered details once again. If there is any mistake, click Back to edit. Edit the details carefully.
- After submitting your details, select the courses and colleges of your choice and press submit.
- Now to pay the registration fee, click on the payment section.
- Registration fees will be automatically generated according to the details provided. Payment must be made through credit card/ debit card/ net banking/ UPI.
- After completing your registration payment, you will receive the transaction ID and application number to your registered mobile number as an SMS.
- Take a printout of the transaction receipt.
- Return to the home page and click download and print application. The print copy of the downloaded application form must be kept with care for future reference.
